http://www.mypure.co.uk/alva-rhassoul-acne—oily-b150/rhassoul-clear-up-active-facial-tonic-p1231

Company background:

Rhassoul Mineral Wash Cream is the cornerstone of the Rhassoul organic skincare programme for problem skin, and is intended for the deep cleansing of skin pores with volcanic mineral clay. Minerals, trace elements and naturally pure essential oils support the skin during washing in the fight against pimples, blackheads and excessively oily skin.

Courtesy of Rhassoul lava clay’s 55% silica content, this highly effective yet gentle cleansing cream is suitable for the whole body including the scalp, where it even works to prevents dandruff, reduces the inflammation and redness associated with psoriasis on the scalp, plus the mixture of pure essential oils can also assist with the treatment of head lice.

When used as part of a cleanse, tone and moisturise skincare regime, the Rhassoul Cleansing Milk should be used to remove any make-up. The Rhassoul Mineral Wash Cream can then be used for deep cleansing of the pores before using the Rhassoul Facial Tonic, followed by either the Balance Cream or Active Cream as a moisturiser - which of these you use will depend on your specific skin type.

Alva Rhassoul Clear-up Active Facial Tonic is an anti-bacterial facial tonic for combination skin and skin prone to blemishes.

Purifies, refreshes, and improves the overall condition of the skin. The anti-bacterial properties of naturally pure essential oils go to work against spots as well as the bacteria that cause spots, whilst also working to help prevent further outbreaks. Rhassoul Facial Tonic delivers the required amount of moisture for skin regeneration and helps prepares the skin before applying either the Rhassoul Balance Cream or Rhassoul Active Cream.

Waschcreme Full Ingredients

aqua, volcanic mineral clay, tea tree oil, lavender oil, rosemary oil, bergamot orange oil, citronella oil, ylang ylang oil, citronellol, geraniol, linalool, limonene

Active Facial Toner Full Ingredients

aqua, glycerin, natural emulsifying agent, aloe vera, sea salt, tea tree oil, licorice root extract, manuka oil, lavender oil, rosemary oil, bergamot orange oil, citronella oil, ylang ylang oil, perfume, potassium sorbate, citronellol, geraniol, linalool, limonene, citral

Packaging: Comes in a recyclable plastic squeeze tube for the waschcreme and glass bottle for the toner. Instructions on how to use are clearly shown on the label.

Directions: Smooth sparingly on moist skin being careful to avoid the delicate eye area. For oily and blemished skin leave it on for 1-2 minutes and then rinse off with warm water. Apply sparingly to combination skin and wash-off straight away. This can safely be used both morning and night and also works very well for the delicate decolletage area. Due to the unique way in which Rhassoul mineral clay works it will not strip the skin or hair of necessary oils; it will simply normalise oil levels. Shake well before use as the mineral clay has a tendency to settle.

Application: Apply directly to face

Results: The mineral clay cleanser, felt very soft as I applied it on my skin, the clay was velvet smooth almost like cream. The smell of tea tree was most prominent, the lavender relaxes me. I did felt a slight tingle sensation as I worked it through my face. Although I rinsed the stuff from my face there was still residue left and the toner was much needed. The toner also was prominent of the tea tree oil smell, it removed the remaining traces of the cleanser very well. After a few weeks, I started to notice my face didn’t react very well to the cleanser, I started to have white heads appearing around the mouth area and the amount of spots spreaded to other areas. So I discontinued using the cleanser, the toner worked fine on me and I have used up the whole bottle. I do feel that the toner can do with a plastic bottle instead of a glass one as it is quite heavy to travel with glass bottles.

http://www.mypure.co.uk/alva-rhassoul-acne—oily-b150/rhassoul-cleansing-milk-makeup-remover-p1233

Company background:

The Alva Rhassoul range was developed primarily to cleanse problem skin. The ingredients are balanced to promote effective cleansing of blemished or combination skin that tends to become oily quickly. When used regularly the appearance of the skin improves remarkably: spots and blackheads disappear and skin elasticity is greatly increased. As the Rhassoul range contains no synthetic cleaning ingredients, fragrance or preservatives it is ideally suited to those with sensitive skin.

Rhassoul is volcanic mineral clay from Morocco. Careful cold milling turns Rhassoul into an ultra fine powder that penetrates the pores and deposits valuable minerals in the skin whilst mopping up toxins and pore clogging dirt and bacteria that can cause infection. The result is a deep pore cleansing like you have never experienced before.

Product Description:
Alva Rhassoul Cleansing Milk for combination skin and skin prone to blemishes, this purifying cleansing milk penetrates deep into the pores to remove particles of dirt, excess oil, and gently removes make-up residue, even in the sensitive eye area. Its moisturising and deeply cleansing action leaves the skin feeling incredibly silky. When wearing make-up use Rhassoul Cleansing Milk first then follow with Rhassoul Mineral Wash Cream, Facial Tonic, Balance Cream or Active Cream.

Alva Rhassoul Balance Cream is formulated specifically for combination / sensitive skin types. It helps to moisturise and regulate the balance of oils naturally produced by the skin. Perfect to use on healed problem skin to help prevent future flare ups.

Application: Apply directly to face

Results: I was going through all wits tackling my 2 year long ongoing blemish prone skin. I’m far from the glowing skin that everyone compliments me on. Around this time last month my face broke out really badly just before my periods, my face was totally covered with spots. Most blemish prone products on the market are targeted for oily skin, frustrating as I’m not in that category, I was also almost about to give up trying to look a natural range until I stumbled on these products. When I took the time to look into Alva Rhassoul, I thought I might as well give it a try. I picked the cleansing milk and balance crème for my combination skin. The ingredients are full of goodness such as tea tree, manuka, lavender oil, shea butter etc.

Firstly, I haven’t used cleansing milk for years, I always got the impression it doesn’t clean my skin. The cleansing milk smells very strongly of tea tree oil, with the velvet like texture, it was a breeze to use. It lifts dirt and grime, even after I use my DHC deep cleansing oil to get rid of my foundation. It works perfectly even near the sensitive areas of the face such as the eyes. The balance crème was very nourishing even though it had Shea and cocoa butter both these ingredients clogged my pores in the past. It serves as a great base prior to applying foundation. It also had a strong smell of tea tree, it may be too strong for other people but I personally love the smell. Overall, even minus the toner in the skin care regime I have noticed a massive difference in improvements to my skin, the elasticity is increased, my skin looks glowing I have no dry patches, most importantly the spots are healing, the lumpy bumpy skin on my left cheek has totally disappeared. I think I finally found the one!

Price: 5/5

Quality: 5/5
Packaging: 5/5
Overall: 5/5

Pros:

 It works

 Anti-bacterial properties

 Spots and blemishes healed

 Radiant skin

Cons:
I have to use loads of cotton wool

Would I re-purchase again? The price point is roughly £10+ for a product the whole skin regime will set you back to £40+; it is a great price that does what it exactly says. I look forward to purchasing the rest of the range. It’s a definite BIG YES!!!

Directions: Apply a small amount and lather with hands.

Application: Squeeze a tiny amount to create lather

Results: The lather of the shampoo is exactly like using sulphate types of shampoo, it was very easy to lather and cleaned my scalp very well. The monoi was a lovely sweet, exotic scent and the hair was left moisturised. The conditioner was very creamy and felt like a mask on my hair however it left my hair feeling stiff. After using the haircare my hair did look great for the 2 days after wash but I noticed flakes and dandruff from using these products. My hair was left drier then revitalised, but I did love the shampoo for the easy lather. It was very easy to blow my hair with these products, but I was left rather disappointed with the results.

Pros:

 great lather

 smells great

Cons:
left me with dandruff and itchy scalp

Application: Squeeze a tiny amount and add some warm water to create foam

Results: I have been using Laidbare for 2 months, besides my hormonal spots that appear on my face I say my skin type is normal to combination. The product smells fab mainly smelling of apples, the product was easy to foam in my fingers and gave a decent through clean. What’s great about the product is that it’s a 2 in one cleanser and toner and all you need to do is apply moisturiser afterwards. After rinsing the product my usually dull skin looks a lot brighter and glows. It controlled most of my spots and I did occasionally have new ones, when I was near to my period. The price point of the new repackaged range is super affordable I would never have spent £20 on a cleanser let alone nearly £100 for a skincare range.

Sigma SS187 Brush Demo - Air Brushing without Photoshop

I won 2 brushes from http://www.sigmabeauty.com/ last year the SS187 and SS119 they a great cheaper alternative to MAC cosmetics brushes.

In the third photo you can see the comparison to both brush almost identical. My demo shows the SS187 in action, the stippling brush provides a great air brush look on my face. (almost like real live Photoshop) the brush applies liquid foundation evenly with little effort.

The foundation I used is MAC face and body in C4, it looks very dewy on the skin and is lightweight and hides imperfections easily. The finish look I used MAC prep and prime powder and my usual eyeliner, mascara and blush.

The only downside to the sigma SS187 is when I wash the brush the black dye runs everytime.
