June Favourites

Whoops totally forgotten that i never made a june favourites post. Here is the products i have used over the month!

Mac Liquid last point black - recently found this in my make up bag, OMG how can i neglect this eyeliner, it is waterproof and smudge proof. Last for over 12 hours must have for the summer in this heat.

Ruby and Millie C10 cream blush - cream blush last longer on the face and this shows up brilliantly in photos!

Shiseido Mascara base - still my #1 eyelash primer, can make any mascara you use fuller and curls stay put all day.

Mac Smoulder - There are some days were i like to smudge this with a q-tip for a easy smoky eye look!

Samy fat hair - i always use this if i want to create quiffs/poofs adds particles in the hair and makes back combing easy!

Mac mineralize foundation - i use this powder foundation in the summer gives the skin a flawless finish and picture perfect for cameras. Very light on the skin and leaves a overall glowy look.

Smith’s rosebud salve - I was originally using the EOS lip balm, after testing for 3 weeks my lips was really flaking so i had decided to switch to smith’s. Excellent lip salve lips are moisturised all day. i’m sticking to petroleum base lip balms from now on because other ingredients do not work on my lips!

July Favourites

Ever since i brought Missha dolly eyelash in Hong Kong i became hooked. It looked great in photo’s and looked very natural, some of my friends couldn’t tell i was wearing fake lashes.

throughout july especially when i went out partying i would wear my Missha lashes around £3-5, it is such a shame i cant find them online to buy. I had to get my friend to buy backups for me.

Kiehl’s #1 lip balm £10 this has always been my staple product for kissable soft lips, ever since i tried my sisters pot i was simply amazed how i found my lips moisturised throughout the day and chapped free. The problem with my lips, is that it becomes very dry with other lip products and i need to constantly reapply lip balm to sustain moisture. With kiehl’s #1 lip balm i only apply the product twice a day.

i’m always go back to L’oreal architect waterproof mascara i love the brush and carbon black colour, used with Shiesido mascara base my lashes look thicker and stays put all day.

Lush buffy & Aqua mirabillis body butters £5 each both of these products are 2 in one! It exfoliates the body and leaves a coated moisturiser onto your skin. It has coco butter and shea butter to soften the skin, rice, peanuts, ground almond shells for exfoliation. Both products smells divine that you want to eat the bar, a massage bar lasts about 6-7 washes. I am totally addicted to the peanut smell Aqua miraballis has.

Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in stash £10 i brought the super stash set a while back, i love how the eyeliner stays put all day and is very long wearing, without any smears. Stash is a dark green gold colour and is perfect for making for making brown eyes pop.

August Favourites

It’s that time again, to review the most used products in August.

Jemma Kidd - Dewy glow radiance crème, £17 I keep forgetting to put this in my month’s favorites. This product is excellent for high-lightening areas on the face, although I love my MAC MSF’s it does not show up on camera well. I absolutely love the packaging and comes with a nice size mirror.

Lush Herbalism - £5 I was testing some new skin products, but suffered a major breakout, I’m not sure if it was the new products or change of diet, but I had acne like spots all over my forehead and chin. This was my life saver it has antiseptic properties to kill the spots and protected my skin from further breakouts.

Naked Coco de mer body butter - with my normal to dry skin, I tend to go for body moisturizers that are rich or body butters that are thick in consistency. This product was true to what it stood for, leaving my skin soft for 24hrs. It smells great with no artificial fragrance and at a great price of £4.99. I dare say this product is way better then the body shop body butters that i have tried.

Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner black ink - I brought a special duo eyeliner and brush kit at the airport for around £22from HK 2 years ago. When I first used the eyeliner, I applied the product with the brush that came with the eyeliner and I was disappointed that the pigment was faint compared to the MAC’s blacktrack fluidline, but once I changed the brush application to a MAC 266 brush the products distributes better than the Bobbi brown brush and I found I loved the eyeliner for everyday wear. It goes on smoothly and is smudge free, and even though I had it for 2 years product has not dried out.

Naked shampoos and conditioners - I did say these products was suppose to be in my July favorites I just simply forgot to add them in. Love the products and I have just purchased the heat defender spray.

Lee Stafford flat iron protection mist - I have the same bottle of product that I brought from 2-3 years ago and it’s defiantly something I always go back to when straightening my hair with GHD’s it leaves this super shine to my hair.

What are your August favourites? Post me your link in the comments section.

October Favourites

It’s that time again, for my monthly favourite products.

A’kin day & Night crème - £19.99 each be using this to rejuvenate my acne prone face, the crème is not too rich and heavy it is also full of vitamins.

Bodyshop - eye definer carbon, £8 I love this as I can create smokey eyes without any black shadows super quick. Comes with an eye smugger, it is more of a charcoal looking black then carbon.

Naked 97% natural crème de mer 24 hour body butter - Still one of my favourite body butters keeps my skin soft for more than 24 hours. (Next month you see a lot more naked body products) Snap some quick, it is currently buy one get one free on the naked website http://www.nakedbodycare.co.uk/

Boots botanic smoothing eye makeup remover - £2.99 This product is so dirt cheap and removes eye makeup really well, I learnt some new tricks for removing eye makeup. Dampen this on a cotton wool, split the cotton wool in half and simply leave this for 20 secs to melt the makeup off. You do not need to smudge the delicate eye area to get rid of stubborn waterproof mascara.

Maybelline Volume Express Turbo mascara – £5.99 After peeping into Rumi beauty products post http://www.fashiontoast.com/2010/10/on-beauty.html I instantly wanted to try the Maybelline mascara, lately I have had trouble coat my lashes with mascara. This one not only coated every single eyelash I had but did not clump and flake unlike the L’Oreal ones. (Also because of Rumi I went to buy the quick thinking wipes £6.75 and will be purchasing the Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré soon)

Nars Orgasm – I had this blush for 1-2 years now and I still haven’t made a dent in this, lately I stop sporting orange/bronze blushes and prefer this peachy colour for the winter and when my skin is lighter.

November Favourites

Naked bodycare Coco butter - This is a online exclusive to Nakedbody care i really love this it smelled so good, i smelt like vanilla chocolate all day and it moisturiser really well on to the skin.

Naked bodycare scrub up - This is one of my favourite products from Naked, the sea salt doesn’t scratches the skin and leaves me with a nice glow and soft skin.

Body Shop Midnight Blue eyeshadow - Fantastic pay off the only downside to this shadow it crumbles after a while.

Lush Tea Tree Water - Excellent for killing bacteria on your skin, I have been using a combination of Lush products for the remaining acne on my face and my skin has cleared up tremendously.

Lush Herbalism - a gentle exfoliating product it has antiseptic products in the ingrediants.

Lush grease lighting - a spot fighting product, I love this it disinfected my skin and stopped further breakouts on my face.

Purity Organic skincare conditioning cleanser - OMG, even with my double cleansing routine, using DHC deep cleansing oil and herbalisim, there was still traces of dirt on my face, this took every bit of grime left on my face.  What a bargain for £4.99.

Barbara Daly concealer - I keep forgetting to add this to month’s favourites, using my trusty MAC 224 brush and this helps conceals my face nicely and the 224 diffuses the product nicely.

So sorry, I have been ill for 2 months and been awfully busy to update the month favourites. Here’s my December favourites.

Goodthings Skincare - played a major part of me becoming more discipline in taking care of my skin and reading the beauty bible, I know learned a cleanser and muslin cloth and moisturiser is all you need to look after your skin. Unfortunately I had to stop using Goodthings during the January month, the product made my eye area red and sore giving it eczema like conditions.

Muslin Cloth - This cloth does great wonders it gently removes the dead cells on the surface of the face without irritating the skin. From using Goodthings I learned you can use the cloth with foaming cleansers and not just cream ones. I will be popping to a fabric store soon and will report back the prices for muslin cloth per the metre.

Kiehl’s #1 lip balm - this is the only lip balm that works for me, it moisturisers my lips throughout the day, nothing else works, I’ve been a loyal user for 6 years. £10 is expensive I know.

Lily lolo - I’m a big fan of mineral foundations, it looks fantastic on camera, this stuff does not break my face out and it lasts all day.

February Favourites

Lush King of Skin - I love this after you finishing cleansing rub this all over your body and rinse of made with fresh bananas to nourish your skin, this leaves the skin soft for days. The downside is that it doesn’t last very long it’s nearly used up within 4 applications. Lush make a bigger version please!

A’kin Orange blossom shampoo - This was my least favourite A’kin shampoo for me, but I love to use this for shampooing my make up brushes it cleanses my brush from deep within.

DHC Deep Cleansing oil - Still my HG product for removing full make up applications for my face, it really cleans the skin and leaves it soft.

MAC Face and body foundation C4 - My skin does not look too bad and I only like to wear very thin foundation, this stuff is great, sweat proof, water proof contains no SPF so it looks great on camera. People even say it’s good enough for HD

MAC Brush Cleanser - do you remember when you first purchase a new make up brush how soft and dense it was? This stuff magically conditions it back to life, at one point I thought I wasted my money, as I intended to use this for spot cleaning it works better if you followed the directions.

Tara Smith Feed the root shampoo and conditioner -  Been using this for a whole month, I like it but don’t love it, it has helped my hair grow quicker and I like the tingling sensation on the scalp it feels weird rinsing my hair with cold water though.

March Favourites

1. Lancome Juicy tubes  - makes my lips super glossy and juicy plus it does not stick to my hair ^-^

2.Rimmel White eyeliner - I use this to create guides for me to pluck my eyebrows, it’s pretty useless to use to whiten the water line it looks too bright.

May Favourites

So sorry this is late.

1. Dr Bronner’s Magic Soap ”Unscented baby mild” -
I’ve actually been using this product for 1.5 months and I can H O N E S T L Y say I LOVE it. It’s a 18 in 1 soap you can use it as a shampoo, toothpaste, wash your laundry, wash your pets, wash your make up brush, body wash the list goes on. What prompt me to purchase was a night a Whole Food Market I saw two ladies hoovering around the 946ml bottle saying how fantastic the product was. It was on promotion for £10.99 I didn’t buy it on the spot I went back home googled and watched youtube reviews then went back the next day. I’ve been using this as body wash and make up brush cleaner. It’s going to last me for YEARS!

2. MAC Fluidline blacktrack -
Now that summer has finally hit the UK the weather is getting more humid, and you’ll need fool proof make up for the hot weather. This stuff does not budge or give me raccoon eyes.

3. Lily Lolo In the buff foundation
Been using this everyday I swear it has healing properties my face is almost cleared up from my hormonal spots and I can sleep in the mineral foundation without worrying that it will clog my pores. (note: I always take every single bit of make up off my face before bed) Tested when I take a few hour naps my face still looks flawless.
